Signatory Vintage are an independent bottler founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington. The name ‘Signatory’ was derived from the initial intention to find a person of suitable standing to sign the labels for bottles drawn from a single cask. The first cask bottled was a 1968 Glenlivet which quickly sold through long before any suitable signee could be found. Signatory currently bottle at three strengths: 43%, 46% Unchillfiltered (UCF) and Cask Strength. To add proof of authenticity to their cask strength bottlings, Signatory always include the cask numbers, date of distillation, date of bottling and number of bottles produced.Signatory Vintage’s aim is to offer as wide a range of whiskies as possible, some of which are not even bottled by the proprietary distillery. This allows malt enthusiast to sample the huge variety of subtle differences which occur between casks.

The Longmorn Distillery was established in 1893 by John Duff, Charles Shirres and George Thomson. Duff was a former manager of the Glendronach Distillery and the Bon Accord Distillery in Aberdeen, and was the founder of the Glenlossie Distillery. This distillery has graced the Speyside region for many years producing bold delicious flavours in its whisky. The distillery went through some expansion in 1972 and the now owners Pernod Ricard acquired the distillery in 2001 after purchasing Chivas Brothers. This distillery still remains unknown to most and there is no reason why as the whisky it produces is amongst the highest quality in the world and delights the palate. The distillery produces 3,500,000 litres of whisky per annum and you should expect this whisky to give you sweetness, spices and wonderful a mouth feel with honey, apples and toffee.

This single malt whisky was distilled in 2002 at the Longmorn distillery before being placed in a single ex Bourbon barrel and left to mature for 17 years. In 2020 it was bottled at 57.3% abv as part of the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection. Only 196 bottles were produced.
