Founded by Andrea Ferrari, Hidden Spirits is a relatively new Italian independent bottler and online whisky shop, which prides itself on the meticulously careful selection of its bottlings. Hidden Spirits has its bottle labels designed by different Italian artists, and offers a variety of expressions under several series: the Highproof Collection of cask strength single casks over eight years of age; the Hidden Spirits Classic collection of single casks of varying strength over eight years of age; and the Young Rebels collection of single casks under eight years old.

The Dailuaine Distillery derives from the Scottish Gaelic ‘An dail uaine’ meaning ‘green valley’. This distilleries whiskies are rarely seen and sought after when they are available. Owners Diageo use the malt from the distillery in blends, mainly Johnnie Walker. Only the best casks make it out to be independently bottled. Available usually at cask strength as a vintage or aged statement.

This independent bottle by the Hidden Spirits Whisky Company was distilled at the Dailuaine distillery in Speyside. It has been matured in an ex-Bourbon American oak cask and finished in Jamaican Rum Cask. Only 294 bottles we made available worldwide.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Creamy vanilla combines with golden caramel, banana fritters and toasted oak.

Palate: Oily and meaty with ripe fruits, crushed nuts and soft spice well balanced by the rum sweetness.

Finish: Long with toasted oak and earthy spice.
