The Distillers Art. The Spirit of Art is a celebration of Fine Art and Fine Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Each unique package features an original artwork with the commissioned artist being carefully chosen for reason of a strength or talent or connection that was considered having particular empathy with the place from which the selected cask originates. Every bottle, every painting, and every signed print are absolutely unique.

To feel the true spirit of Ardbeg, visit the Distillery. Stand on the grassy mound that rises between the buildings and the sea. The sight of the pagoda roofs crowning white-washed walls before you; the sound of waves surging onto the rocks behind you; the smell of malt and sea-spray all around you. Breathe it in. This is pure Islay. Where Ardbeg is, has been and always will be made by people genuinely devoted to producing The Ultimate Islay Malt. Ardbeg the whisky is Ardbeg the place, in all its raw natural beauty. There have been many ups and downs on the long road to Ardbeg throughout the years. Ardbeg’s story is one of irrepressible spirit surviving against the odds, finally emerging as “unquestionably, the greatest distillery on Earth.

The Distillers Art offer the remarkable Malt & Art offerings. They also have a secondary label named Small Batch range which is less about the art and more about the liquid. This single malt whisky was distilled at the Ardbeg distillery and left to mature for 20 years. In 2020 it was bottled at 53% abv. A real collectable as Ardbeg single cask bottling’s are extremely rare to come by these days.

Importers Tasting Notes

“…gentle sweet fruitiness, grainy oak, hint of tarry smoke, integrated. Fab nose. Malt on entry, falls of a tad then the smoke, dry and vegetal, arrives by the bucket load. Creamy oak at finish, but smoke just hangs around. Supple, well combined. What a treat!”
