On the eye it presents a superb colour imbued with freshness thanks to the pale yellow flourishes with delicate green reflections. The effervescence expresses itself unflaggingly with great panache.
The tiny bubbles are transformed into veritable magnets and reflectors of light. The desire to taste this Grand Cru becomes more intense.
On the nose it delivers up all its treasures with the honesty and noblesse worthy of its standing. It opens the door to a highly floral universe where the aromas of beeswax, almost honey-like, are elegantly paired with some notes of dried lemon zest revealing the natural freshness of this wine. Then, ever so gently, the yeasts unleash their riches culminating in creamy, brioche notes.
In the mouth this wine is a veritable consecration. It expresses itself frankly with all its natural, direct candour. It embodies freshness, delicacy. It melts on the palate with grace and elan. All the olfactory sensations are expressed as delicate aromas where the flourishes of white flowers, associated with the citric notes, are skilfully blended with the smoothness of the wine revealing slightly spicy saffron notes.
The finish on the mouth is very clean and so pure that this Millésime Grand Cru 2004 cannot fail to be duly appreciated.
