Founded by Andrea Ferrari, Hidden Spirits is a relatively new Italian independent bottler and online whisky shop, which prides itself on the meticulously careful selection of its bottlings. Hidden Spirits has its bottle labels designed by different Italian artists, and offers a variety of expressions under several series: the Highproof Collection of cask strength single casks over eight years of age; the Hidden Spirits Classic collection of single casks of varying strength over eight years of age; and the Young Rebels collection of single casks under eight years old.

The Mannochmore Distillery is owned and operated by Diageo and it is located in Elgin situated in Scotland Speyside whisky region. Founded in 1971 by John Haig & Co. The distillery is was quite unusual, it only opened for 12 month periods and then was closed for 12 months alternating with the nearby Glenlossie distillery of which it shared its employees. Since 2008 the distillery operates continuously and has its own crew of employees.

This independent bottling has been sourced from the Mannochmore distillery where it was distilled in 2008. After a decade of maturation, it was bottled up at 53.8% ABV in 2021.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Zesty notes of orange and lemon, buttery puff pastry, creme anglaise and some hints of peppermint.

Palate: Honey puffs, hob nob biscuits, sweet creamy golden barley, ripe pear, fresh black pepper and toasted nuts.

Finish: Medium to long with orange oil, vanilla sponge cask, warm clove and hints of hay.
