DS Tayman Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the product of many years’ knowledge, thought and development. With nearly two decades in the alcohol industry, Director of Malts Danny Saltman was keen to bring something new to the market. Driven to develop an exceptional collection of whiskies, Danny has travelled the length of Scotland to match choice Scotch Whiskies with hand-chosen casks.

As DS Tayman only bottles malt whisky aged in single casks, you can be assured that each limited-edition expression has a unique taste profile that cannot be recreated.

The Linkwood Distillery was established in 1821, but only started production in 1824. Owner Peter Brown was the manager of the Linkwood Estate and wisely kept his nose clean until the 1823 Excise Act was on the stature book. The distillery was rebuilt in 1874 and was run as an independent distillery up until 1932 where is joined DCL, now Diageo. It has remained in production ever since, with regular upgrades taking place, most significantly in 1972 when a new distillery was built opposite the old buildings. The owners ran both distilleries until 1985 when the original distillery was used as an experimental site. The capacity of the distillery is now around 5.5 million litres per annum.

This single malt whisky was distilled in March 2008 at the Linkwood distillery before being placed in a single refill ex-Bourbon Barrel and left to mature for much of it’s 12 year maturation period, with a Finish in a single ex-red wine cask from the Boutique Israel Flam Winery. In July 2020 it was bottled at 46% ABV as part of the 2nd Edition releases from DS Tayman. Only 384 bottles were produced. This release from DS Tayman is certified Kosher.
