The Tin Shed Distillery in Adelaide, South Australia is a place where determination, dedication and an unshakeable belief is starting to pay off. The distillery is all about passion and a spiritual journey. Every step of the process is performed by hand from milling the malt, stirring the mash, making the cut and moving the barrels, to judging which casks to use, bottling, labelling and shipping bottles. The distillery was established in 2013 and has mainly been releasing single cask whisky to this point. Most of the releases are sold out in very short time and become either historic and memorable drams with friends or sit pride of place on a whisky cabinet. The distillery produces three brands of spirit. Iniquity….the whisky, Requiem….the rum and Piotr….the vodka.

This peated release has been matured for no less than two years in a Solera style system with the spirit being aged primarily in ex-shiraz barrels from the Barossa Valley. Bottled at 43% ABV

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Soft peat smoke, damp campfire, subtle dark and red berries, smoked meats and charred oak.

Palate: The shiraz casks have injected some very well balanced notes into the spirit, gentle smoke and earthiness, red fruits and stewed plums, toasted figs and some red grape.

Finish: Long and fruity with earthy peat smoke and white pepper spice.
