The Glengoyne Distillery is certainly one of Scotland’s hidden secrets when it comes to great single malt. Situated only a short drive away from Glasgow in Dumgoyne, it has an excellent visitors centre. The unique identity this distillery has is that the whisky is produced in the ‘Highland’ region of Scotland and the whisky is matured in the ‘Lowland’ region of Scotland. The road out the front of the distillery is known as the ‘Highland Line’ the division between the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland. Established in 1833 as the ‘Burnfoot’ distillery it boasts a great range of aged single malt. Glengoyne Distillery translates to ‘Glen of the Wild Geese’. It has also been made famous by its place in the movie Angles’ Share

We’ll be joined for the tasting event by Gordon Dundas, Senior Brand Ambassador and Advocacy Manager at Ian MacCleod Distillers Ltd. Gordon has been immersed in the whisky industry for over 17 years, including working for international giant Whisky Magazine as well as setting up the now famous Whisky Live shows internationally in the US, Asia and Australia. In 2011, Gordon joined Morrison Bowmore Distillers (Beam Suntory) as Global Brand Ambassador working across brands and was honoured to be appointed a Keeper of the Quaich in 2013. In 2017, Gordon became International Brand Ambassador at Ian Macleod Distillers. Questions at the ready as some serious experience will be in our presence for a full 90 minutes.

We’ll also get to taste the distillery exclusive release of the Teapot Dram batch number 008. Gordon will love to share the story behind the Teapot Dram and its creation. This story is one of the finest stories in the whisky industry, be sure not to miss out.

15ml x Glengoyne Teapot Dram Batch 008 59% ABV
