Glen Ord 2008 Aged 13 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky – The Un-Chillfiltered Collection By Signatory Vintage (700ml)

Signatory currently bottle at three strengths: 43%, 46% Unchillfiltered (UCF) and Cask Strength.To add proof of authenticity to their cask strength bottlings, Signatory always include the cask numbers, date of distillation, date of bottling and number of bottles produced.Signatory Vintage’s aim is to offer as wide a range of whiskies as possible, some of which are not even bottled by the proprietary distillery. This allows malt enthusiast to sample the huge variety of subtle differences which occur between casks.

The Glen Ord Distillery or also known as The Singleton of Glen Ord is a distillery in the Highland region of Scotland. It is the only remaining single malt producing distillery on the Black Isle. The distillery won awards in 1994 and 1996 for the best single malt at the International Wine & Spirits Competition and also at the Monde Selection in 1996 and 1997. Boasting 7 wash stills and 7 spirits stills the output is a huge 11,500,00 litres of spirit each year used in Diageo blends mostly but also available as single malt.

This single malt whisky was distilled in 2008 at the Glen Ord Distillery in the Highland region of Scotland. It was then placed into three separate Hogsheads for no less than 13 years. Bottled with natural colour and no chill-filtration at 46% ABV from cask numbers 318697, 318698, 318700 as part of the Signatory Vintage Un-Cillfiltered Collection.
