The Edradour Distillery sits in Perthshire which has been famous through the years for its small farm distilleries but now Edradour distillery is the last man (or lady) standing. It boasts to be Scotland’s smallest distillery and not just in size but in production which also makes the whisky so unique. The output from this distillery was once 600 litres per year but now it can produce up to 90,000 litres per year.

The name Edradour coming from the Gaelic ‘Edred dobhar’ meaning ‘the stream of King Edred’ who we believe may have been Pictish chieftain in the Dark Ages or a Roman legionnaire who liked this very delicious malt whisky. The distillery was founded in 1825 by local farmers and is currently owned by Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky who purchased the distillery in 2002 from Pernod Ricard. You should expect a creamy malt whisky with hints of mint, nuts and usually has a port or sherry influence.

This single malt whisky was distilled in 2012 at the Edradour distillery before being placed in a single ex Sherry Butt and left to mature for 10 years. In 2022 it was bottled at 58.6% abv as part of the Edradour straight from the cask range. Only 866 bottles were produced.
